Yerba Mate Bag

This Yerba Mate is really good and 2.2 lbs are only $5!

There might not be any updates for the next few days because we are going on a short trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. You can expect photos of elk and fall foliage soon though.

Yerba Mate

I received 3kg of Yerba Mate. I ordered it as a substitute for coffee since I drink way too much of it. This photo shows the leaves in my French Press. I do not really like this photo but I hardly had any time for photography today.

I found some red leaves to photograph. It is nice to see a little bit of red fall foliage around these parts where yellow is so predominant.

We took a little drive in the afternoon to take photos of fall foliage. As it turned out we were a few weeks too early.

I have not updated this blog in days but I did continue to take photos. So today I will upload photos for the past few days. This photo shows the lockers at Safeway.

Washing Machine

This photo shows our washing machine. I put one flash inside and another flash behind it. Maybe I should have added some more lights or played around with the strobe placement but it was getting close to midnight already.

Get Well

This photo shows my pain killer and my penicillin. I am looking forward to feeling better again in a few days.

I took this photo around 2am. It was very foggy and everything looked very mysterious.

Break Time

I finished the first week of 'One Photo a Day' and now it is time to celebrate with coffee and a movie before I have to go to work.

Front Range Sunset

I only took four photos today. This image shows a Front Range sunset. I used my Sigma 150-500mm lens and zoomed-in all the way to get closer to this mountain.

A long-exposure night photo. The shutter was set to 15 seconds.

Roses

A photo of roses. I used black paper taped to the wall as background. Lighting was provided by two flashes situated high to the right and left of the subject. Both flashes were set to low power to keep the scene somewhat dark.

Daisy

I wanted to take photos of Daisy but she did not seem to like the flash today so I ended up with only a few snapshots.

Empty Bottle

The lighting for this photo of an empty cream soda bottle was provided by a Sunpak 383 flash. The bottle was placed on top of some plexiglass. The flash was placed beneath the plexiglass and bounced off the wall in the background.
